To enhance our Accounting & Finance team at our German branch in Wiesbaden, we are currently looking for a:

Supervisor Accounting (m/f)
Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Lead monthly management accounts process to strict deadlines with support of other team members. This includes Advertising & Promotions as well as General & Administration cost analysis, variance analysis and review with budget holders
  • Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and make corrections if necessary
  • Review and approve journals from the team
  • Prepare, control and be responsible for subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of multicurrency transactions and accounts
  • Review, recommend and test modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Assist with preparation and consolidation of annual budget and with quarterly forecast
  • Support of VAT, trade tax and corporation tax returns together with external consultants
  • Assist the management and auditors with the preparation of annual audits
  • Play a leading role during month-end and year-end in overall account reconciliations
  • Supervise a part of the Accounting Team (approx. three employees)

Your qualifications and skills
  • University degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or comparable level of education and qualification
  • Minimum of three years of related financial experience, ideally in a multidivisional organization
  • Proven Supervisory experience
  • Standard knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles
  • IT literate, especially very good knowledge of Excel. Experience with other Microsoft applications and PeopleSoft are a plus
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely financial reports to tight deadlines
  • Possess organizational skills and the ability to react in a fast changing environment
  • Excellent English and German language skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to build strong, effective relationships with management team, budget holders & head quarter’s finance teams
  • Ability to improve processes
  • Knowledge of travel industry would be an advantage
